Saddle Balotade Reno is a typical rally saddle. It has a structure designed on the basis of a network of belts. The wide spacing of the benches is responsible for the optimal weight distribution. This feature also improves ventilation and thus comfort for the horse. Balotade Reno, in terms of construction, combines Spanish saddle and Portuguese.

Construction of the Military Trail saddle.

Military Trail saddle it is built differently from the classic English saddle. The bottom of the saddle is made of wooden benches trimmed with felt. Thanks to this, the officer’s saddle rests softly on the horse’s back.

The wide spacing of the benches leaves enough space for the spine of each horse. This makes the saddle very versatile. The seat is covered with soft, natural buffalo leather. Due to the fact that it is a saddle with a high rear and front pommel, the rider sits deeply and safely in it.

A construction has been used in the saddle that provides excellent shock absorption to the rider. Thanks to this, long horse trips will not be a problem.

Other elements, such as benches, are also covered with leather. This ensures high durability and a great look of the saddle.

In soldier’s saddle We also used gold-colored stainless steel buckles. Thanks to this, you can attach panniers to the saddle, which are perfect for long rallies. It is also possible to attach a podogony to the rear pommel. It will provide additional stabilization of the saddle on the back.

Over the years, this type of saddle has taken many names. So we can define them as Military , soldier, cavalry, officer or trail saddle. Sometimes the term saddle is not even used, but simply referred to as e.g. a cavalry saddle.

However, no matter what we call it, whether it is a lancer’s or a soldier’s saddle, we are still talking about the same type of saddle.

Contrary to appearances, riding in a soldier’s saddle does not differ much from riding in English saddles. The aids can be used in exactly the same way.

What accessories are needed to ride a soldier’s saddle?

Due to the fact that our company has used three standard straps in the saddle , you can use the most popular straps in it. The same as in English saddles.

Standard stirrup leathers and stirrups will also fit. So if you have an English saddle with accessories, you don’t need to buy anything else. You just need to translate them.

Military saddle size chart.

Kulkers we offer one of three seat sizes. You can choose the 16 “size for people with a smaller height and weight, through an intermediate, universal size 17”, and ending with large 18 “saddles.

This selection of seat sizes allows you to adjust the saddle to most riders. The spacing of the pommel is the same in each of the saddles. This is the average width that it should fit and accommodate most normally built horses.
