Description

Natural fit, subtle performance and elegant finish – for horses that deserve comfort and style.

The single-jointed anatomical model from the Balotade® Rose Gold collection is a perfect solution for sensitive horses and those that require a special adjustment of the bit to the structure of the mouth. The contoured mouthpiece and natural copper coating support better acceptance, and the rose gold finish gives it a unique character.

Anatomical shape – fit and control

  • The mouthpiece is slightly curved to better fit the horse’s palate,

  • When the reins are used more strongly , it changes its position , influencing the tongue more,

  • Helps eliminate unwanted reactions such as tongue twisters ,

  • Provides stability in the mouth and better control without added pressure.

Rose Gold – Natural Elegance and Function

  • The color is obtained by galvanization , which consists of permanently applying a thin layer of copper,

  • Copper stimulates saliva secretion , which facilitates bit acceptance,

  • It is a natural supplement and completely safe for horses.

Care and use

  • The copper layer may wear off as a result of intensive chewing – this is natural,

  • The blue-green coating is a symptom of oxidation – it should be removed regularly,

  • It is recommended to clean and dry the bit after each ride and store it in a dry place,

  • Proper care will slow down, but not completely stop, the oxidation process.

Safety and finish

  • Made of high quality stainless steel , covered with a thin layer of copper,

  • No paints or dyes , completely safe for the horse,

  • Colorless marks on the rings are a natural result of dyeing – they are not a defect.

Technical details

  • Thickness of the mouthpiece : 14 mm – stable and comfortable to use,

  • Ring diameter :
    – 55 mm (sizes: 10.5 cm / 11.5 cm),
    – 65mm (sizes: 12.5cm / 13.5cm / 14.5cm).

Note on size

Anatomical bits are measured in an arc , according to their natural position in the horse’s mouth. Thanks to this, their marking corresponds to the exact working size. A flat measurement may show a result on average 1 cm longer than the size given.

Choose the Balotade® Rose Gold anatomical single-jointed bit – a perfect combination of comfort, functionality and class.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the main advantage of Rose Gold bits?

The main advantage of Rose Gold bits is their hypoallergenic construction, which makes them an ideal choice for sensitive horses, minimizing the risk of allergic reactions. Additionally, the elegant golden shade gives them an attractive appearance. These bits also promote better chewing by horses, which increases comfort and improves contact between horse and rider. Thanks to these features, Rose Gold bits combine functionality with aesthetics.

How are Rose Gold bits made?

Rose Gold bits get their distinctive color through the galvanizing process. Galvanizing is a technique that creates a thin, durable metal coating on the surface of another metal by depositing one metal on top of the other. In the case of Rose Gold bits, this coating is copper, which is a natural supplement and completely safe for horses. This process not only gives the bits an attractive appearance, but also increases their corrosion resistance, which translates into a longer product life.

Can the Rose Gold bit be returned?

Yes, of course. In our shop we accept returns of Rose Gold bits, provided that the product has not been used. You have the possibility to return the bit within 30 days of the date of purchase. If the bit does not meet your expectations or you simply have changed your mind, you can send it back according to our returns policy.

Are Rose Gold bits safe for the horse?

Yes, Rose Gold bits are completely safe for horses. They have been carefully tested and made of materials that do not cause allergic reactions. Thanks to the use of hypoallergenic coatings and the lack of harmful dyes, these bits provide comfort and safety during use.

Does the Rose Gold coating wear off over time?

Yes, because the bit is copper coated, the horse's vigorous chewing can accelerate the wear and tear process. Although copper is a durable material, it is recommended that you regularly check the condition of your bit to minimize the effects of wear.

How to care for your Rose Gold bit to prolong its durability?

To extend the life of your Rose Gold bit, clean it regularly. After each use, rinse it with water to remove any food or saliva residue. It is best to use a soft sponge or cloth and a gentle metal cleaner for cleaning. It is also important to protect the bit from mechanical damage, such as impacts or falls, which can lead to scratches or deformation.

If a blue or green coating appears on the bit, it means that the copper has started to oxidize. This coating should be removed. The bit oxidizes especially in high humidity, so after riding it is worth drying it thoroughly and storing it in dry conditions. Proper care can slow down the oxidation process, but will not prevent it completely.
