4-Ring Blue Steel Single Jointed Loose Ring Balotade® Bit .
The bit full, thanks to its weight, lies securely in the horse’s mouth.
The strap is made of hand-polished “sweet” blue steel. Sweet iron naturally enhances salivation, and during use, under the influence of moisture, heat and air, a gentle coating of surface rust with a sweet taste is created, which naturally stimulates the horse’s salivation, which makes it easier for the horse to accept the bit. Thanks to the technology used, the bit changes its color from blue, through gray, to brown. Despite the oxidation process taking place, the bit does not lose its properties.
When the material (blue steel) reacts with moisture, heat and air in a process called oxidation, it produces rust with a sweet taste .
The blue steel bit changes color and a rust bloom appears. Don’t worry – it’s a natural effect.
Most horses like this sweet taste and start chewing the bit harder.

The bit has 4 rings to which we attach the reins. Depending on the needs, the lower the ring to be attached, the stronger the action of the bit. The rings provide a leverage effect.
The diameter of the bit rings for the sizes:
10,5 cm – 11,5 cm to 50 mm
12.5 cm – 14.5 cm is 65 mm
Tendon thickness 18 mm.
