Loose Ring Double JointedBlack Steel Balotade® Bit.
The bit full, thanks to its weight, lies securely in the horse’s mouth. Thanks to the use of a copper connector and a double breaking point, the bit is very delicate and is perfect even for young horses.
The string is made of hand-polished “sweet” black steel . Sweet iron naturally enhances salivation, and during use, under the influence of moisture, heat and air, a gentle coating of surface rust with a sweet taste is created, which naturally stimulates the horse’s salivation, which makes it easier for the horse to accept the bit.
Due to the technology used, the bit changes its color from black, through gray, to brown. Despite the oxidation process taking place, the bit does not lose its properties. When the material (black steel) reacts with moisture, heat and air in a process called oxidation, it produces rust with a sweet taste .
The black steel snaffle changes color and a rust bloom appears. Don’t worry – it’s a natural effect. Most horses like this sweet taste and start chewing the bit harder.

The tendon thickness is 18 mm.
The diameter of the rings for sizes 14.5, 13.5, 12.5 is 65 mm, and for bits of 11.5 and 10.5 it is 55 mm.
