Balotade® Tank — Professional Endurance Saddle for Long-Distance Riding

The Balotade® Tank is a professional endurance saddle, designed specifically for long trails and multi-hour outings in the field. With its unique construction and a weight of only 6 kg, this model combines the comfort of a deep seat with the functionality essential during endurance rides.

Although the Tank is a dedicated endurance saddle, its thoughtful design retains versatility — it works equally well for dressage training and light jumping. This makes it an ideal choice for recreational riders looking for a versatile saddle that prioritises safety in the field.

Why choose the Tank endurance saddle?

  • Comfort over long distances: the soft, deep, ribbed “Comfort” seat prevents chafing and provides a stable position even on difficult terrain.

  • Horse’s spine protection: wide-set panels (6 cm gullet channel) filled with synthetic wool distribute the rider’s weight evenly without pressing on the spine.

  • Ready for the trail: the saddle features symmetrically placed metal D-rings, allowing secure attachment of endurance saddlebags and other essential equipment.

    Soft, Quilted Seat

The unique seat ensures you won’t feel any discomfort even after many hours in the saddle. The special design prevents galls and injuries during outings. We have also added specially quilted knee blocks — they are more durable, less prone to wear, and give your knees soft support.

    Balotade® Switch Interchangeable Gullet System

This saddle grows with your horse. The interchangeable gullet system allows you to quickly adjust the saddle width within minutes — without a saddle fitter’s visit. Just unscrew 2 screws with a screwdriver and replace the metal gullet plate.

The Blue gullet plate (size M / 29) is installed by default. You can purchase additional sizes to perfectly fit horses of different builds:
